As a property owner or a leasing professional, you understand location plays a big role in how much rent costs. To find out the vast variety of apartments that can be had for around $1,000 a month, we analyzed our Apartments.com data across different cities in the U.S., focusing on neighborhoods, floor plans and rising rental costs to identify where—and how—renters can get the most bang for their buck.
Despite the fact that we’re experiencing one of the lowest apartment vacancy rates in more than a decade, our research found renters can find apartments for around a grand—even in some of the largest and most expensive cities—if they are flexible and look at a variety of factors. By opening their search to nearby neighborhoods or suburbs, considering taking on a roommate to cut the bills in half or committing to a longer-term lease, many more affordable options open up.
More details on our findings are included in our press release and showcased the infograph below.
