Amazon.com to build distribution center in North Fort Worth, TX

Amazon.com has chosen 67 acres at AllianceTexas in north Fort Worth to be the site of a new regional distribution center.

The property is being developed for the facility, said a souramazonce close to the deal, who asked not to be identified for publication because of confidentiality agreements.

In October, Seattle-based Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) was searching for real estate in the City of Coppell and AllianceTexas for its foray back into Texas. The company asked the City of Coppell for tax abatement incentives on a 1.1 million-square-foot distribution center development.

Amazon.com had a facility in Irving, but it closed last year after a dispute over whether the company had to collect state sales tax.
